Style crimes:
15 outfit roast
examples.

These examples show the sweet spot: exaggerated, specific jokes about clothes and styling choices that never turn into a roast of the person wearing them.

The evidence locker

A line for the
actual outfit.

Take the format, not the exact label: every effective roast points to a visible clothing choice and gives it a harmless new context.

  1. Case 01

    The color clash

This color palette has a group chat, but nobody reads it.

  2. Case 02

    The rogue shoes

The shoes accepted the invite from a different outfit.

  3. Case 03

    The over-layer

That extra layer is here for emotional support, not weather.

  4. Case 04

    The print collision

These patterns are debating loudly without a moderator.

  5. Case 05

    The accessory detour

The accessories took a side quest and never came back.

  6. Case 06

    The formal-casual mix

This fit is business meeting above the waist, mystery below it.

  7. Case 07

    The oversized moment

The proportions are exploring an open-concept floor plan.

  8. Case 08

    The jacket rescue

The jacket is doing heroic work with very little backup.

  9. Case 09

    The color story

The color story has an intermission halfway through.

  10. Case 10

    The matching attempt

Everything technically matches the way airport gates technically connect.

  11. Case 11

    The statement piece

This statement piece called a press conference for no reason.

  12. Case 12

    The texture pileup

The fabrics are all talking at once, and the mic is still on.

  13. Case 13

    The era crossover

This outfit pulled inspiration from three decades and introduced none of them.

  14. Case 14

    The dress-code mystery

The dress code is clear somewhere. This outfit was not copied on the email.

  15. Case 15

    The final verdict

The fit is not bad—it is simply running several concepts in parallel.

How the examples work

Focus on the
movable parts.

Make it useful

Mention colors, proportions, print mixing, shoes, layers, or accessories. Those are the outfit decisions a wearer can own, laugh at, or change.

Make it safe

Do not reference bodies, identity, protected traits, or personal worth. Keep it consensual and stop when the joke is no longer welcome.

Style crimes FAQ

Close the loop.

Why call these style crimes?

It is a playful label for fictional fashion offenses, not a judgment of a person. The examples only describe styling choices and avoid personal attacks.

How do I adapt an example to a real outfit?

Name a visible styling choice first, then choose a harmless comparison. Keep the line short and make sure the person is comfortable being included in the joke.
