Prompt guardrails
Funny lands better with consent.
Name the clothes
Call out a color, a layer, a shoe, or an accessory—not a person.
Make sharing optional
A good group-chat joke works because everyone involved is comfortable with it.
Keep it specific
A clear styling detail makes a roast sharper than a vague put-down ever could.
Add a reset
Follow the joke with a simple styling suggestion when you want the energy to stay friendly.
Outfit roast prompts FAQ
Prompt first. Person never.
What makes a good outfit roast prompt?
A good prompt names clothing details such as colors, layers, silhouettes, shoes, or accessories and asks for a playful comparison. It does not ask for comments about the wearer’s body, identity, worth, or protected traits.
Can I use these outfit roast prompts with a friend?
Only when the friend is in on the joke and can comfortably opt out. Keep the roast focused on the clothing and make the share optional.
